Bryan created a monster mudroom system for us in Feb ’24 and it’s absolutely perfect! I have dealt with many contractors over time and I can confidently say Bryan is the best – his communication, attention to detail, expert suggestions, and prompt follow-ups are the best I’ve ever experienced…all things you normally can’t say about your contractor. He even sent progress photos along the way as he fabricated everything in his shop! The timeline was as promised and the install was seamless. He also perfectly matched the stain from our kitchen cabinets for this install. I truly cannot recommend him enough.

We recently asked Bryan to fabricate a cabinet for our laundry area and to add pull-outs to some of our existing kitchen cabinets. We are absolutely thrilled with the products he created and installed. Bryan guided us through the process, showing us options and making suggestions for things we hadn’t thought of. The big, empty space in our laundry room now houses a beautiful, highly functional cabinet for laundry supplies, recycling and extra storage. Unbelievable Work and Unbelievable Service. My wife and I were traveling through the Minneapolis airport when we passed by a store with a few remarkable lamps in the window made from old plumbing parts. Really cool. A small card next to the item highlighted the work as “Steampunk Lamps”, by one Bryan Skaudis of Apple Valley Designs, LLC in Minneapolis, MN. Rather than purchasing the lamp at the airport, we decided to call Bryan instead, and here is where the story really begins. After a quick internet search, we tracked down Bryan’s number. True it was a Sunday, but he actually picked up. During the conversation, we also identified that not only did he create amazing lamps, but wonderful, one of a kind furniture as well. Over the next several days, Bryan sent photos of different parts with which to make the lamp. Additionally, by then, we had decided to go ahead with a custom hutch built around a beautiful vintage 1960’s ford pickup tailgate- Amazing. He sent pictures at every step of construction and included us in all of the important decisions (parts, colors, stains, etc.) This exemplary work was accomplished in little over two month’s time and sent to us. Bryan was absolutely amazing to work with. These pieces are interesting, unique, and scream old world charm. This recommendation for Bryan’s work comes with nothing but the highest praise. You will not be disappointed.

Bryan is an incredible artisan! From start to finish he was an excellent communicator and partner in creating our custom walnut/metal bar table. He took a few of our inspiration pictures and quickly came up with an initial concept. He kept us updated at every stage with pricing, sketches, mini models, photos, and text messages.
